Custom Vanity Cabinets
I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it is to have a husband who is so skilled with his hands; all I have to do is think up a design and he creates it!
These custom-built vanity cabinets (pictured below) were made with wood from a big red oak tree that Dave cut down and removed from a friend’s property in Barto, PA over five years ago! He took the logs to a local sawmill, had them cut into boards, and then he planed them down after they had plenty of time to dry.
This is the first project he has used this beautiful #1 red oak for and I am in love with the outcome!
The leftover tile from the master bathroom shower was cleverly used for the countertop and the cabinet inlays of this custom vanity!
This vanity was built for the hall bathroom and, in keeping with our rustic industrial farmhouse style, it has a sliding cabinet with mini barn door hardware.
I can’t wait to see them installed…will post future pics of them here so stay tuned!
